GIS Specialist

Genex Systems is looking for a talented GIS Specialist to join our team! This position is remote; however candidates must be located in the continental United States. This position is temporary, from 3 February 2025 through approximately 3 May 2025. 

The position includes requirements to operate, maintain, and update current geospatial data within our Enterprise, providing and product and service deliverables. This expertise facilitates accurate and effective data for managing property and boundaries, buildings, structures and utilities. 

Requirements:

• 1-3 years experience using ESRI ArcGIS Pro and other corresponding products. Experience in a branch versioned environment is highly preferred.
• Demonstrates and maintains proficiency with current and developing technologies and software related to geographic analysis.
• Experience using AutoDesk products in conjunction with ESRI products is a plus. 

Responsibilities:

• Works with survey team to create, edit, manage, and maintain field collected data related to utility, transportation, and floorplan information within the GIS.
• Creates digital map products for end users consisting of floorplans and fire escape routing.
• Develops various types of GIS maps and related data sets, including training materials, story maps, and other products as requested.
• Performs analysis, QA/QC, updates, and management of GIS data to support end users.
• US Citizenship is required.
