At Smartly.io we help advertisers make beautifully effective ads by automating every step of social advertising to unlock greater performance and creativity.  We are disrupting the social advertising landscape sitting at the forefront of a seismic shift in the way marketers communicate with consumers and prospects while redefining the customer journey experience as they engage with brands.  

Given our incredible growth we are looking for a  highly motivated and experienced  Creative Leader to head our global Creative function and further develop our creative service offering in the market.

As the Global Head of Creative you will…

  • Encourage and lead a growing team of Associate Creative Directors, Art Directors, Motion Designers, Copywriters and other specialist roles in the concepting, design and production of full-funnel campaigns across multiple social and visual platforms and be proficient in using the latest technologies to achieve results for customers
  • Collaborate with our sales and customer teams to pitch for creative business for our largest and most strategic customers
  • Act as an inspiring leader and play an instrumental role in adopting and evolving our data-driven test-and-learn approach to drive improved creative performance for customers. You will work closely with our product teams to influence how we evolve our capabilities in the area of creative tagging, creative insights and creative automation
  • Own the charge on further developing our in-house original creative production capabilities while establishing and nurturing partnerships with specialist companies to support in this area
  • Ensure the smooth running of the creative studio team, supervising multiple projects that are delivered on time and within budget while ensuring the highest quality and experience for Smartly.io customers
  • Contribute to the development of our creative product offering, working with engineering and product teams
  • Coordinate and facilitate creative workshops and training sessions for internal teams and customers as well as present at internal or industry conferences where relevant.

We are looking for you if you have...

  • 15+ years of experience in: advertising (social, display, youtube)
  • Deep creative and brand strategy expertise
  • Experience working with both traditional and digital native brands
  • 10+ years experience leading global creative teams (art directors, copywriters, designers, producers, etc.)
  • Social and mobile storytelling and original creative concepting experience
  • Growth mindset and strong connections with senior folks at brands in the US
  • Expertise in comparable industry and customer insights and data
  • Hands on experience setting up mobile creative production facilities and running original production projects for social media
  • Strong knowledge of creative technologies and understanding of dynamic creative, plus a deep desire to advance solutions in this area for some of the world's leading brands
  • The ability to influence strategic direction and also build and develop teams to deliver success for our customers, i.e. ideas are important, but we are also seeking someone with a proven track record of translating ideas into reality, practicing speed as a habit
