Job Description
Job Purpose
This position will be responsible for the duties of the Process Operator, Wrapper Operator, Cartoner Operator, flexicell Operator and the WACP Operator. This person may alternate machine operator responsibilities from day to day.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Supplies master cases to equipment.
• Checks master cases to verify proper seal and correct code dates and Variety.
• Check case code date and case variety.
• Maintain glue and ink supply.
• HMI interface.
• Performs routine adjustments on line equipment to keep produced within requirements (temperature levels, glue level).
• Completes some repair work or complex adjustments.
• Supplies cartons to equipment.
• Performs metal detector checks on a timely basis.
• Performs routine HACCP/OPRP audits.
• Ensures that the bag has a good seal.
• Monitors the level of over wrap film.
• Loads film onto the wrapper when needed.
• Supplies trays to tray former, ensures proper topping flavor is being used and minimize short counts by regulating line speed and recycle belts.
• Conducts a sanitation inspection on all corresponding equipment prior to start-up.
• Disassembles all depositors, topping augers or conveyors depending on the line for product change over and clean-ups as needed.
• Performs product change overs.
• Maintain a consistent level of raw materials being used.
• Monitor freezer temperature and operating condition on a routine basis.
• Monitor sauce levels in the line hopper.
• Monitor topping and sauce weights and comply with SPC guidelines.
• Monitor water mister weights every two hours.
• Monitor eagle belts and communicate to maintenance as needed.
• Performs startup check list.
• Insures proper topping variety is being used.
• Prepares line for production.
• Responsible for recording and reporting downtime.
• Performs routine adjustments on line equipment to maintain product specifications.
• Requests assistance in trouble-shooting and reports all non-conformances.
• Communication problems or changes in quality to appropriate personnel.
• Performs other duties assigned by supervision.
• Monitors and record raw, packaging materials and ingredient codes.
• Understand the concepts and participate in the techniques of the quality process.
• Inspect topping line for sanitation and USDA compliance.
• Performs Startup check list.
• Follow Safety Guidelines in accordance with Safe Practices and Job Safety Analysis. Participates in the Work Safe Process.
• All reports completed in a legible manner.
• Responsible for adhering to FSQ guidelines, and supporting the overall QRMP process.

Expected Experience & Required Skills

• Previous experience in the operation of industrial machinery, preferred.
• Good communication skills (English), verbal and written.
• Computer skills preferred.
• Ability to analyze data.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, crawl, and work in awkward positions.
• Some level of mechanical aptitude (operator experience preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and instruct people.
• Good math skills.

Work Environment & Schedule
This position is considered a Manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment Additionally, this role requires 40 hours a week and occasionally overtime
