Grant Accountant

Job Title:Grant Accountant Location:Jacksonville, FL 32233 Job Type:Direct Hire Salary:$55,000 – $60,000 annually Work Arrangement:100% Onsite About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organizedGrant Accountantto join our team in Jacksonville. This role is responsible for managing the financial aspects of grants, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and supporting the organization’s mission through accurate and timely reporting. Key Responsibilities • Maintain financial records for all grants and ensure compliance with federal, state, and private funding requirements. • Prepare and submit timely financial reports to grantors. • Monitor grant budgets and expenditures, ensuring alignment with approved budgets. • Assist with grant audits and provide necessary documentation. • Collaborate with program managers to ensure proper allocation of funds. • Reconcile grant-related general ledger accounts. • Track grant deadlines and reporting schedules. • Support month-end and year-end close processes related to grants. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with grant or fund accounting. • Strong understanding of GAAP and grant compliance regulations (e.g., OMB Uniform Guidance). • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in nonprofit or government accounting. • Familiarity with grant management systems.
