Grant Accountant

Salary:$60k - 75k per year Reference:LJ404600 We are looking for an Accoutnant with nonprofit experience. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES • Maintain General Ledger in compliance with GAAP and assist in developing internal controls. • Support CFO with financial reporting for government and private grants, ensuring compliance. • Prepare routine revenue/expense reports and resolve discrepancies. • Review monthly P&L reports and reconcile variances with department heads. • Reconcile accounts and maintain fixed assets database. • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. • Generate journal entries and assist with audit preparation. • Support budget planning and implementation. • Assist with insurance renewals and serve as backup for payroll and AP processing. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or finance required; CPA, MBA, or CMA a plus. • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in the non-profit sector. • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Experience with grants management and compliance preferred. • Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
