 What you will do: 

The Grant Writer/Project Manager is a resourceful, detail oriented, and collaborative team member with excellent proposal writing and project management skills. This individual is responsible for managing all aspects of the grant development process including planning, budgeting, writing, submitting and tracking grants. The Grant Writer/Project Manager provides oversight of the grant lifecycle process including opportunity identification, pre-award, grant progress monitoring, and award closure for federal and state grant funding programs. In this role, you will 

  • Work closely with cross-functional business partners to gather information for grant preparation. Researches, writes, prepares, and submits new and renewed grant proposals. 
  • Serve as a company representative and point-of-contact to government grant agencies. May be asked to participate in and present at grant kickoff and status events.  
  • Initiate and foster relationships with internal stakeholders and local organizations to provide oversight of Community Benefit Plan deliverables that will accompany grant work. 
  • Ensure proper application and submission protocols are followed. 
  • Develop and oversee a process to ensure compliance with grant requirements, including adherence to changes in requirements. This includes effectively communicating and reinforcing grant requirements to key stakeholders. 
  • Monitor post-award grant project activities and communicates proactively with the grant administrator to ensure ongoing compliance 
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of all documents submitted to federal and state agencies throughout the grant process. 
  • Proactively identifies, communicates, and works with key stakeholders to mitigate potential risk factors for obtaining and/or maintaining grant funding. 
  • Works with the Finance team to submit approved funding allocations and reimbursements in a timely manner. 
  • Conducts post-award debriefing, identifies issues, and develops solutions to be applied to future projects. 
  • Briefs Executive team and key stakeholders on the status of grant projects. 
  • Reads, understands, and complies with all workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and company policies and procedures. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

What we need you to bring to the team:  

  • BS Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience writing and preparing grant applications for the submission process 
  • 5+ years’ experience managing multiple complex grants simultaneously from both federal and state agencies over various budget periods 
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar grants, including federal, state and private party funding 
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and policies regarding grant compliance 
  • Previous experience working with internal teams to establish Community Benefit Plans in support of grants. 
  • Acts with a sense of urgency and demonstrates the ability to effectively prioritize competing deliverables  
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to build out effective project plans 
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to comprehend highly technical concepts  
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

Compensation:  

  • The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $100,000-$130,000 annually and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
