Graphic Designer

Accepting just 5% of applicants, the Core boasts over 400 closely vetted and highly skilled testers who jointly conduct thousands of tests each year. 

Our award-winning, fully remote team is committed to helping agile businesses remediate risk quickly and innovate securely. Today, over 1,000 customers use Cobalt to run pentests on demand via Pentest as a Service, AKA PtaaS, a space which Cobalt pioneered (you could even say we wrote the book on it) and continues to lead. 

We are currently seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, a passion for creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. As the founding member of our in-house creative team, you'll work collaboratively with individuals and teams across the organization to develop impactful, on-brand, and strategic designs that directly contribute to our company's overall success and help amplify the Cobalt brand within the cybersecurity space.

• Shape and elevate the visual design for all creative marketing deliverables across all channels for Cobalt; social, email, digital ads, event experiences, swag, presentation templates, infographics, landing pages, digital brochures and more.
• Ensure proper implementation of brand standards for cohesiveness and alignment, i.e. act as a steward of the brand guidelines 
• Use design as a tool to effectively engage and win over prospective customers
• Partner with colleagues in product design for ad hoc cross-functional work
• Participate in projects involving external agency support to help shape creative direction and / or give input on concept exploration
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions by pitching new and exciting creative ideas and identifying areas for improvement
• Develop and manage a project management system to manage multiple projects concurrently while completing deliverables on time with the highest quality and creativity standards
• Act as a brand advocate and champion, ensuring compliance and delivering innovation to move the brand forward

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Arts or Illustration
• 3-5-plus years of experience in graphic design, creative design house or internal creative team
• Proficiency in all Adobe Creative Suite software
• Must have an outstanding design portfolio
• Originality — able to create original and unique prints and surface designs
• Communication — able to interpret design briefs and communicate clear direction to design team members
• Trend Identification and Application — be aware of current trends within all industry areas and be able to translate into designs
• Team Player — master collaborator that performs well in a team environment.
• Self-starter attitude with a bias for action and ownership — comfortable navigating ambiguity and ability to create structure and process in a fast-paced environment. 

• Experience with Hubspot or Ceros

Cobalt is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is 70,000 to 90,000 per year + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.  The salary range may differ in other states and may be impacted by proximity to major metropolitan cities.
