Job Description The Graphic Designer creates visual concepts and designs digital and print promotional advertising/marketing pieces such as brochures, emails, mailers, websites, digital ad campaigns, core selling tools, and video graphics from concept to completion through close work with internal team members. The Graphic Designer is highly motivated, with a thorough knowledge of Mac operating system and professional design applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, and PowerPoint). This person demonstrates a strong sense of design coupled with technical ability. The Graphic Designer is a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment while assuming accountability for accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the finished assignment. Job Duties • Creates visual concepts, designs, and formats various print and digital materials • Create comps or mockups for client presentation and review • Incorporate internal team reviewers’ and client changes to layouts • Manage creative execution of individual projects from initiation through to completion • Maintain quality control and adherence to agency processes and procedures • Collaborate with individual team members and groups from various departments, including Account Services, Project Management, Editorial Services, and Medical Services • Communicate regularly with manager and team regarding workload and status of current projects • Assist in trafficking workflow between Creative Services and Project Management • Assist in preparing and manage materials for print production with external vendors Key Competencies • Ability to receive, interpret, and follow creative direction • Ability to manage outcomes to win-win resolution • Expert knowledge of Mac operating system and design software (familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is a plus) • Strong creative design and conceptual skills • Excellent time management and project management skills, with ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work under tight deadlines • Ability to work independently; self-motivated • Ability to participate and interact effectively on a team • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability • High energy level and team player Qualifications Requirements • Associate’s degree in design or related field, or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree (fine arts discipline) preferred • Minimum 1 year of studio experience, preferably in medical communications or related field Preferred Skills/Experience • 1-2 years’ experience specifically working as a graphic designer • Familiarity with agency workflow process • Healthcare advertising agency background a plus Working Conditions • Ability to attend and conduct presentations (virtual) • Ability to commit to extra and/or nontraditional hours as client needs require Additional Information Synchrony places high value on the well-being of its employees; therefore, Synchrony team members are eligible for a comprehensive array of benefits, including competitive salaries, generous paid time off, excellent health insurance, family leave, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching.
