A comprehensive report—combining high resolution photographs, infographics, and narrative summaries—ready for both digital dissemination and high-quality printing

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Project Manager in Anti-Racism Office (ARO), the individual contractor will be responsible for the following: 1. Review existing materials, including the conference concept note, groups discussions notes, programme, and summary report. 2. Develop a design concept and style guide aligned with UN branding guidelines. 3. Layout text, images and graphics in Adobe InDesign (or equivalent), ensuring accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and print specifications (CMYK, 300 dpi). 4. Create bespoke infographics—timelines, organizational charts, data visualization based on supplied data and draft text. 5. Source or refine photographs (provided) to high print quality and apply color correction. 6. Deliver both a fully editable InDesign package and final PDF (print ready) as well as a lightweight interactive PDF and web optimized images.
Qualifications/special skills
• A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in business, social sciences, communications, or related area is required. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in high-end publication design for international organizations or comparable clients is required. • Experience with designing multi-page reports, brochures or annual reports is required. • Expertise in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or Affinity Suite is required. • Strong data visualization skills and proficiency with charting tools (e.g. Illustrator, InDesign data merge) are desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
