Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, a global Am Law 50 firm, seeks a hard-working, proactive, motivated individual to serve as a Mid-Level Graphic Designer.
This position can be based in any of the following offices: Downtown Los Angeles, Century City, Orange County, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Del Mar, San Diego, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Dallas or Houston. There is only one opening.
β’ This position has a remote/hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation to be in the office on an as needed basis.
The firm is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Mid-Level Graphic Designer to join the team. In this position, the designer will bring ideas to life through compelling visual design across a variety of platforms. This position will collaborate with marketing, communications and cross-functional teams to create brand-consistent designs that inspire, engage and drive results.
This position is ideal for a designer with strong conceptual thinking, a refined aesthetic and the ability to balance creativity with strategic business goals.
Responsibilities:
β’ Develop and execute creative concepts, layouts and designs for digital and print assets, including social media, web, presentations, marketing collateral, email campaigns and event materials.
β’ Ensure all designs align with brand identity guidelines while pushing creative boundaries.
β’ Collaborate closely with marketing, business development and other internal stakeholders to translate project requirements into visually impactful design solutions.
β’ Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high quality.
β’ Stay up to date with design trends, tools and best practices to continuously bring fresh perspectives.
β’ Contribute and support the development of campaigns, pitches and new initiatives.
Essential Functions of Job:
β’ Manage multiple design projects from concept through completion, ensuring timely delivery and attention to detail.
β’ Prepare and deliver production-ready files for both digital and print output.
β’ Present design concepts clearly and incorporate feedback to refine deliverables.
β’ Communicate with external print vendors as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications:
β’ 5β7 years of professional design experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
β’ Strong portfolio showcasing diverse design work across digital and print media.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) and Microsoft PowerPoint.
β’ Solid understanding of typography, color theory, layout and visual hierarchy.
β’ Experience designing within brand guidelines and evolving brand systems.
β’ Ability to think conceptually and translate ideas into compelling visuals.
β’ Strong communication skills, with the ability to present and work in a collaborative setting.
β’ Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications: 5β7 years of professional design experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
Education
Required: Bachelorβs Degree
Computer/Software Knowledge
Required: Standard computer knowledge expected (e.g., Microsoft Suite) and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
Preferred: Ceros, Monday.com or similar project management tools
