Job Description
Biotef Labels is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer/Canon Printer Operator to join our team. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for designing content based on customer requirements and product specifications, as well as operating Canon large-format or digital printers to produce high-quality printed materials.
The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, technical expertise in printing processes, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Graphic Design Responsibilities:
β’ Collaborate with customers to understand their specific design needs, preferences, and project requirements.
β’ Create custom designs, layouts, and artwork tailored to meet customer specifications for branding, marketing materials, and product labeling.
β’ Develop print-ready files with accurate specifications, including bleeds, margins, and color profiles, to ensure high-quality output.
β’ Provide design proofs to customers for approval, making revisions as needed to meet expectations.
β’ Ensure consistency with the customerβs branding guidelines, including color schemes, typography, and visual elements.
β’ Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
β’ Stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences to deliver innovative and relevant designs.
β’ Coordinate with the print team to ensure designs are optimized for printing on Canon large-format or digital printers.
β’ Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude throughout the design process, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
Canon Printer Responsibilities:
β’ Operate Canon large-format or digital printers to produce high-quality materials such as banners, posters, brochures, and other printed products.
β’ Perform routine maintenance on printers, including cleaning, replacing consumables, and calibrating color settings.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve printing issues to minimize downtime and ensure project deadlines are met.
β’ Monitor the print quality and make adjustments as needed for optimal results.
β’ Maintain an organized inventory of paper, ink, and other printing supplies.
Experience:
β’ 2+ years of graphic design experience.
β’ Experience operating Canon printers or similar equipment preferred.
β’ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
β’ Familiarity with RIP software and printer calibration tools.
β’ Knowledge of color theory, CMYK printing, and print file preparation.
β’ Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
β’ Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
β’ Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
