Motto is a stealth startup building a new app that will improve and streamline how queer people meet. Our goal is to facilitate meaningful sexual and romantic experiences by matching people with a mutual interest in one another in a fun, simple, efficient, and non-toxic space. We believe that the current apps do not adequately serve, accurately represent, or easily connect the queer community. We are committed to building an effective and positive alternative.

As Motto's graphic designer, you'll be tasked with designing best-in-class marketing and branding assets for the Motto team to use across external brand communications, assets, and advertisements (i.e. out-of-home, ads on paid social platforms, party and event flyers, app store screenshots, website, brand assets and identity etc.).

At this moment, we are looking for a thoughtful graphic designer who brings a fresh perspective to our young and growing brand. We are looking for someone who is ready to jump in and roll up their sleeves. Ideal candidates are available during normal business hours and as needed on an on-call basis.

Details

• This is a Part Time/Contract role (15-20 hours some weeks. Some weeks we will not need graphic design work.)
• This is primarily a remote position, with preference for NYC-based. Open to global
• Salary will vary depending on your experience and fit

Requirements

• High level of skill with most or all aspects of graphic design, including color, type, motion, graphic, animation, branding
• High level of skill working with type, visual hierarchy, illustration, words, images, and video
• Experience working with motion graphics and animation
• Ability to explore various options and present them to leadership
• Ability to communicate your process and rationale for why you design what you do
