Graphics Designer

WJXT/WCWJ is seeking an entry level Graphic/Motion Designer to join our Creative Services team. In this role, you will be supervised by the Art Director to craft compelling broadcast, digital and print visuals to support marketing campaigns, brand development, and client projects. Sometimes you’ll need to take the initiative to gather research and details independently to conceptualize creative solutions. This position is perfect for a proactive and imaginative designer with a talent for storytelling through design. Must thrive in a collaborative setting and can also work independently. This is an on-site position. Key Responsibilities: • Contribute to the design, maintenance and enhancement of broadcast, print, website and digital media. • You will create visually engaging branding & marketing assets, such as logos, title graphics, show graphics, set and event design, social media posts, email templates, web graphics, presentations, and print materials. • Image editing and retouching to enhance campaign, product, and promotional imagery. • This position works with all departments - Admin, Sales, Production, News, Commercial Production and Promotion to design graphics that meet brand standards and project goals. • Handle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines in a dynamic work environment. • Keep abreast of current design trends and apply industry best practices. Qualifications & Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. • Knowledge of PC/Mac, but will be predominantly working on a PC workstation. • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects required. • Knowledge of Cinema 4D, Adobe InDesign and Premiere, Microsoft 365 a plus! • Solid grasp of principles of design that can be used to communicate messaging and storytelling. • Receptive to creative input and skilled at integrating feedback into design work. • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
