Graphics Specialist Technical Designer

POSITION SUMMARY: The Graphics Technical Designer creates production art, fabrication drawings, and incorporates field dimensions accordingly. Work with the designer and installation team to ensure the graphics meet the client’s expectations. Working with production and installation to assure the product meets graphic standards. Detail effective means & methods that can be installed efficiently at the highest quality and within budget. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Utilize Illustrator to create production drawings and check production ready art • Create location plans for all graphics and signs • Use Auto CAD as needed to create, modify and release drawings to scale. • Coordinate closely with other departments to ensure that the drawings reflect correct information and processes for effective production. • Attend project kick-off and element hand-off meetings to ensure the project scope is understood and clearly communicated to team members. QUALIFICATIONS: • 2 years of graphic production and/or Illustrator experience. • Detail oriented individual with strong organizational skills. • Excellent drafting, written and verbal communication skills. • Certificate from an accredited Graphics Program. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with any or all of the following desired: • Signage or experiential graphics • Architectural drawings and site plans. • Electrical lighting and control systems. • Metal fabrication. • Graphics & typography processes.
