Position:Groundsmen Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Preparing the site:Removing debris and hazards, clearing walkways, driveways and cleaning the site. • Loading and unloading materials: Moving building materials, equipment, and tools to and from the work site. • Operating equipment: Using power tools and some machinery like jackhammers, saws, drills, and man lifts. • Building and taking apart structures: Dismantling bracing, barricades, and other temporary structures • Digging and clearing: Cement elevators, silos, and pits. • Ensuring safety: Ensuring safety compliance, reporting issues to the site supervisor, and putting up barriers and signs to control the work site • Maintenance:Performs routine maintenance on equipment. • Non-permitted Confined Spaces:Working and cleaning silos and domes • Housekeeping:Clears walkways and driveways of debris and trash. • Misc Duties:Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: • Ability to operate various types of hand tools and power equipment including jackhammers, saws, drills, and man lifts. • Some knowledge and experience of mechanical and electrical processes is preferred. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling. • Must be able to physically operate motor vehicles. • Must be able to work in various weather conditions, 80% - 100% outdoors. • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs consistently and regularly. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Previous maintenance and landscaping experience preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off Schedule: • 12 hour shift • Day shift • Monday to Friday • Night shift • On call • Overtime • Weekends as needed Experience: • tank cleaning: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Commute: • Houston, TX 77011 (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: • Houston, TX 77011: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
