Job Description
This position is accountable for assisting the Group Air Manager as a direct client liaison, a client report specialist and active booking Travel Advisor for timely and accurate ticketing for groups, meetings, and events. This person will perform at a high level with extensive knowledge of complex bookings and exchanges, perform all ticketing duties, provide travel counsel, and maintain an exceptionally high level of service to all employees and our clients. As a direct point of contact with clients, and a valued resource for Group Travel Advisor support, a comfort for on-camera conversations and timely follow up is critical. Responsibilities
- Act as Group Air Account Manager with specific accounts
- Thorough knowledge of Domo to provide reporting to clients
- Ability to offer training to Group Air Advisors and daily support
- Work with other Christopherson divisions for a cohesive process
- Provide travel expertise with excellent customer service
- Responsible for accurate ticketing and invoicing
- Interpret and enforce various client travel policies
- Participate in trainings demonstrating a high level of industry knowledge
- Maintain a positive attitude with travelers and coworkers
- Ability to work on multiple programs simultaneously with minimal errors
- Familiarity and understanding of the transactional process from all perspectives including GDS and mid-office systems
- Familiarity of Smartsheets preferred
- Comfortable thinking outside of the box
- Be available and responsive to our clients at all times during normal operating hours to handle any request, including emergency and complex situations
- Ability to stay organized and prioritize successfully
Requirements
- 5 years+ reservation experience as a Group Travel Advisor
- Specific experience in group airline contracts and Worldspan
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with clients and being on camera for meetings as needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to stay organized and prioritize is essential
- Flexible business hours and occasional weekend hours
- Must be comfortable with and have experience with booking complex travel itineraries, including complex International tickets, split tickets, split forms of payment, exchanges and manual pricing when necessary
- Excellent attention to detail and grammar
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with limited oversight
- Comfortable with change and working in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking and calmness
- Self-motivated with a desire to positively influence others
- Adaptable to change and comfortable with new technologies
