Job Description
Come help us grow! We invented the world’s first GPS dog fence that allows people to create fenced in yards anywhere without having to build a physical fence or dig trenches and bury wires for an invisible fence. You’ll be part of a growing, fun, and collaborative team, driving the D2C sales of a hot, new consumer tech product.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this position manages SpotOn’s acquisition marketing strategy: paid digital channels and email. Our media mix includes paid search, paid social, paid content partnerships, display, and affiliate marketing, but relies heavily on email to convert prospects. You will partner with an outside digital agency to find, launch and scale new ROI positive paid channels. You will execute our email program internally with support from our digital agency, Brand Manager, and graphic designer.
We are looking for an energetic, innovative, and organized marketer with several years managing paid digital channels and email. Must drive decisions based on data and have an always testing mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop high-impact, multi-channel media programs to efficiently scale SpotOn Fence. We on trend to grow 300-400% next year.
Paid Acquisition Marketing
- Partner with SpotOn's digital agency to drive our primary paid channels: paid social, paid search, affiliate.
- With agency, seek out and find new effective media channels or strategies that can scale customer acquisition
- Drive testing strategy by analyzing data, creating hypotheses, and launching tests around creative and messaging. Direct agency on how to roll out the creative testing across paid media, engagement points, and landing pages.
- Partner with creative team and freelancers to source creative needed to support advertising.
- Define and test new ways to capture and nurture email leads.
- Define KPIs and measure the impact of each nurture campaign, and develop ways to scale.
- Streamline reporting for all paid channels, develop new reports, and present them to management.
Email Marketing
- Own SpotOn’s email program focused primarily on converting leads to a sale.
- Optimize segmentation as well as establish messaging hierarchy, targeting priorities, flighting, testing, and the measurement plan across all email automations and campaigns with the goal of increasing customer engagement and conversions.
- Drive sales through email by identifying, testing, and optimizing messaging, email cadence, and incentives.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive test plan across subject lines, creative, content, landing page, and segmentation.Â
- Partner with Brand Manager to support execution of periodic email campaigns to customer database such as new product feature launches, giveaways and engaging content.
- Drive continuous improvement across email KPIs including deliverability, open rates, click rates, conversion rates, unsubscribe rates, and revenue
- Develop and maintain reporting for email performance. Communicate effectively to key stakeholders with appropriate recommendations for action.
- Work with graphic designers and video editors to develop email templates and creative to support email channel.
REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS degreeÂ
- 2+ years experience in acquisition marketing, performance marketing, and/or media planning roleÂ
- 2+ years of email marketing experience with strong experience in nurture-to-convert programs
- Strong collaboration skills: must be willing to work closely with VP of Marketing and Brand Manager to develop engaging email automations and campaigns
- Independent worker: self-starter with a can-do attitude and excellent organizational skills.Â
- Strong project management skills: ability to manage multiple short and long-term priorities under tight deadlines, in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Data-driven mindset: proven ability to translate analytic data into strategic insights that drive successful marketing programs. Full understanding of the marketing funnel and important KPIs. Excellent Excel skills required.
- Klaviyo experience preferred, but experience with similar ESPs required
- Extensive knowledge of email best practices, technologies, and trends. Knowledge of syntax and ability to edit HTML code in ESPs a plus.
- Experience with campaign creation, tracking, tagging, testing, and marketing analytics.
- Experience working with dogs, either professionally or personally, is a plus. Comfort with touching and working with dogs is required.
- This can be a remote or hybrid role. Ability to travel to our headquarters in Manchester, NH periodically for meetings is preferred.
