BorgWarner's Fuel Systems and Aftermarket business ("PHINIA") is intended to separate from BorgWarner in late 2023
PHINIA will be a product leader in fuel systems and aftermarket distribution with balanced and synergistic exposure among Commercial Vehicle (CV), Light Vehicle (LV) and Aftermarket end markets, with embedded relationships with global OEMs and a focus on the global vehicle parc.
As well as being an industry leader in combustion technologies and chassis systems PHINIA will also be driving the transition to green fuels and hydrogen combustion by developing effective solutions to decarbonize the future of transportation.
POSITION SUMMARY
Lead & develop the Global Supply Management (GSM) systems & tools team to be world class. Manage existing GSM systems and tools, and develop, execute, and launch the systems roadmap. Provide supply chain data and systems guidance and solutions which will deliver SC teams enhanced visibility and system effectiveness. Collaborate with Global Strength and Local Accountability supply chain teams to improve global insights, data collection, reporting and analytics within our operating model. This position reports to the Director, SC Excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead / Develop global supply management data and systems roadmap and strategy.
- Manages talent within team including conducting performance reviews.
- Responsible for data and system integrity relating to usability, functions/features, and user experience.
- Provide inputs on department structure, organization, priorities and expected results to Director, SC Excellence.
- Act as primary liaison to Corporate IT stakeholders.
- Lead cross functional project team(s) aimed at assessing various data efficiency solution alternatives including but not limited to: eRFQ & Sourcing, Contract Management, Business Analytics, Supplier Master & Master Data Management, eAPQP, Supply Chain Financing, and Spend Analytics. Support the business case development.
- Benchmark efficient and cost-effective data management systems and processes and, in conjunction with the global organization, develop and implement best practices.
- Support a visionary approach to business/technology opportunities as well as a detailed, methodical involvement for daily management of applications.
- Make recommendations regarding strategy and direction within area of responsibility, providing a visionary approach to business/technology opportunities.
- Supports end to end management of application roadmap (design, create, implement, deploy new functionality/technology, application retirement/replacement,) keeping consistency and alignment with business strategy and predefined requirements.
- Deals with conflict swiftly, constructively, and decisively, inside and outside the company regardless of the levels in the organization.
- Develop and maintain a consistent Policy and Guideline Reference Structure.
- Ensuring data integrity in all reports.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years related experience in a global position in the area of Supply Chain, IT, or Program Management in a manufacturing environment. 3+ years in a team leadership role preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and intuition for business to drive conclusions based on data.
- Proficient at coordinating and managing projects (i.e. project timelines, cost tracking, etc.).
- Proven success in showing strong organizational and interpersonal and communicational skills in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to motivate a team to move succinctly in one strategic direction.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and locations and with all employee and management levels.
- Ability to manage several tasks and shifting priorities concurrently to meet timelines.
- Required to determine most, if not all, of own work assignments.
- Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required.
- Familiarity with SAP Front End, MS SharePoint, database tools, and analytics tools a plus.
