Overview
We are a small, boutique security firm seeking a punctual, professional and responsible guard to join our security team. The ideal candidate will meet the requirements below, and will play a vital role in our growth and establishing brand awareness within Las Vegas. Think single - double digit employee number.
Youwill be responsible for protecting personnel, property, and assets while ensuring compliance with both, company and client policies & procedures.
Unarmed or Armed, makes no difference. We are willing to invest and train individuals who have the appropriate temperament, flexibility and vision to understand the opportunity that is offered. We have an in-house PILB CFI, and can train / assist with applying for a CCW in Clark County through LVMPD.
This position requires someone who is:
• Extroverted, Familiar with customer service, and not afraid to engage in conversation or approach others.
• Levelheaded, Familiar with conflict management and able to employ common de-escalation techniques while maintaining a calm & composed demeanor.
• Tactful, Can engage in polite conversation / corrective action or adversity (including receiving verbal insults) while showing empathy. Must be able to use social engineering to interview / effectively collect information for report writing.
• Responsible, Handles their own personal issues. Maintains adult responsibilities, has temperate habits. Does not overindulge in vice / gambling / weed or alcohol. Can arrive at work on-time, or can anticipate / effectively communicate when occurrences beyond control may interfere with work performance. Is willing to takePersonal Ownershipfor short comings, and actively pursue growth and betterment.
• Literate; Must be able to read & write in English. Must be able to draft, compose, prepare, generate, document and record observations for legal purposes. Correspondence and report writing must in be a manner consistent with the minimum expectation that in your daily professional capacity you, "Observe and Report."
• Quick-Witted, Must be astute, adaptable and self-starting. Must have the intelligence necessary to quickly problem solve or find amicable resolutions while working independently in environments that may have risk. This includes following the reasonable person standard while engaging with the public and utilizing situational awareness to avoid entering into situations that have the propensity to escalate to violence or areas that may contain hazards.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations.
• Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to monitor activities and prevent unauthorized access.
• Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of individuals on-site.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage (crime prevention through environmental design)
• Engage in conflict management to de-escalate potentially dangerous situations.
• Prepare detailed reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required.
Experience& Requirements
• Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with security protocols, surveillance systems, and loss prevention techniques.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of surveillance technologies such as CCTV systems is beneficial.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
• A commitment to maintaining uniform standards. Must be well groomed and able todress appropriatelygiven the work environment and circumstances. This includes; business casual in office settings, knowing to wear protective gear (PPE), Bringing comfort / heat related items to work.
• An active PILB Work Card is preferred or provisional status.
• Must have a smart-phone with GPS and NFC capabilities that can utilize company subscription services / software licenses in performance of duties.

I'm willing to discuss; ownership, commission, salaries and account management opportunities. Financial incentives and salaries would be based upon billable hours / net cash flow of provided contracts first 90 days. If you have the connections, relationships and rapport to sign deals and make clients happy - but not the finances for payroll - I'm open to discussing these opportunities.
