Overview: Maimonides is seeking a Guard to serve as a liaison between patients, visitors, and staff while ensuring the safety and security of Medical Center property through enforcement of hospital policies and state laws; also oversees parking operations and fee collection as directed.Responsibilities: • Patrols all areas of the Medical Center to prevent and detect fire, theft, vandalism, and other security concerns. • Serves as a liaison between patients, visitors, and staff, providing guidance, support, and referrals as needed. • Responds to patient and visitor concerns, escalating to appropriate departments and reporting to administration. • Enforces hospital policies and applicable laws; makes arrests when necessary and may serve as a witness in court proceedings. • Prepares incident reports, conducts investigations, and assists in restraining emotionally disturbed patients when required.Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent required • Successful completion of a NYS-approved Security Guard Training Program • Current NYS Security Guard registration (per Security Guard Act) • BLS/AED certification • Successful completion of a de-escalation training course • Valid NYS driver's license and the ability to drive standard transmission vehiclesPay Range: USD $26.47 - USD $29.83 /Hr.
