Guardium Data Protection Engineer

As a Security Consultant you will be a key advisor for IBM’s clients analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client’s organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• You will be administrating and supporting Guardium Data Protection suite for a critical business from the banking industry (among the top 3 banks in europe). This involves managing policies and troubleshooting issues related to Guardium functionalities which might involve performing in depth analysis of system generated messages and logs using databases languages as SQL and developing own scripts to ensure safety and compliance of structured and unstructured data in our customer’s servers (around the globe).
• You will proactively look for ways to Improve and fine-tune Guardium performance and detection capabilities by using modern automation techniques to reduce errors and improve delivery and availability.
• You will be managing Guardium Roles and Application Role Permissions. Manage user access create and update Guardium Groups. Troubleshoot any issues related to Guardium functionality. Interact with IBM support teams for Guardium Data Protection suite issues (raising PMRs engaging internal teams inside of our customer’s org).

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 2 years of experience in IT (DB/infrastructure/security/application support).
• 1 years of Hands on experience on IBM Guardium and/or Database Administration:
  a) Installation configuration updates of GIM STAP ATAP bundles
  b) Designing implementing and tuning security policies reports and audit processes
  c) Creating and maintaining Guardium Alerts
  d) Accounts management (roles enabling resetting passwords account revoke accounts synchronization)
• Scripting skills – proven experience using scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills (direct contact with customer) and ability to effectively handle sensitive situations (urgent requests technical questions from several sources).
• Fluency in English Language.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Certified Guardium Data Protection engineer with 2+ years of experience.
• Proven expertise on:
  a) Troubleshooting cooperation with IBM support (for PMRs and RFEs)
  b) LDAP configuration
  c) Guardium groups maintenance (group flattening whitelisting building hierarchical groups etc.)
  d) Configuring and adjusting DataMarts integration with DSF (Data Security Fabric – from Imperva).
