We are looking for Student Worker - Embedded Software Engineer to join our Field Application Engineering (FAE) team in North America. As FAE we're consulting our customers who count on us to convert awesome ideas into great products and services. You will work together with our team to provide extraordinary input to our customers to understand the QNX products and to come up with efficient and cutting-edge software architectures. You will gain an understanding & experience of how embedded systems are designed, how virtual machines are configured and how software is developed.

In this role, you will:

• Be an integral part of our team in North America and work in an international environment
• Bring-up QNX operation system on demanded and state of the art embedded evaluation boards like TI TDA4, NXP iMX8, Renesas R-Car or Qualcomm hardware
• Get familiarized of software demonstrators of trend-setting algorithms like automated parking, object detection or edge first data analysis for cloud services
• Setup virtualized environments based on QNX Hypervisor product for e.g. in vehicle infotainment (IVI) based on Android or computer vision algorithms running on Linux
• Gain experience in software engineering by participating in an autonomous remote-control car or remote medical robot project
• Representing BlackBerry QNX at tradeshows and events

You will have:

• Knowledge of C or C++ programming language
• Basic understanding of operating systems for embedded targets
• Fluent English
• Experience with embedded development is an asset
