Summary
Public Health - Overdose Prevention and Response Team is looking for aProject/Program Manager I (Harm Reduction Supplies Program Coordinator). This position will work with local governmental and non-governmental community partners to increase equitable access to harm reduction supplies, including but not limited to, naloxone and fentanyl test strips. This role will engage with community partners across various low-barrier, harm reduction supply access points sponsored by or in partnership with PHSKC programming including harm reduction vending machines, the supply clearinghouse and ad hoc training and place-based response efforts.

The Health Sciences Division provides robust assessment and evaluation work and population health strategies to influence public health with a focus on community conditions through data, evidence, and emerging best practices in partnership with the community. The Overdose Prevention and Response program is responsible for reducing overdose deaths and improving the health of people who use drugs in King County. We are part of the Health Sciences Division in Public Health-Seattle & King County.

Work Schedule
The typical work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and may include some evenings and weekends depending on community needs. This is a Non-Exempt position and is subject to the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is overtime eligible.
Work Location
This is a hybrid position with both in office and remote work opportunities. The primary location for this position will be based on the 11th floor of the Chinook Building located at 401 5th Ave in Seattle, WA 98104.
Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Teleworking:
Some of the work associated with this position will be performed through teleworking, and will report to office location and to meetings as needed. Travel to other work locations may be necessary. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. To support employees during this time King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will be joining an innovative and progressive team.
Job Duties
PHSKC Harm Reduction Supply Clearinghouse:
β’ Lead harm reduction supply inventory and ordering, as well coordinate distribution and conduct intakes.
β’ Develop technical assistance material and resources for clearinghouse agencies.
β’ SharePoint management.
β’ Lead coordination of Public Health Reserve Corps (PHRC) Volunteers, as needed.
β’ Liaison with finance team to process invoices.
Harm Reduction Vending Machines:
β’ Develop, implement and monitor feedback forms, conduct quarterly check-ins with host sites.
β’ Manage inventory.
β’ Restock machines, as needed.
β’ Lead annual trainings for host sites.
Special Projects:
β’ Lead REDCap data Entry and reporting, compile monthly distribution and qualitative data.
β’ Deliver community-based overdose prevention trainings.
β’ Provide administrative support to Harm Reduction Supplies Manager with Special Projects, as needed.
β’ Other duties, as assigned.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following (Minimum):
β’ Demonstrated knowledge of harm reduction principles, opioid and stimulant overdose response.
β’ Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and independently.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and build trust within the community.
β’ Knowledge of equity and social justice principles and practices, and understanding of the effects of place, race and policy, systems and environment-based inequities on marginalized communities and populations.
β’ Knowledge of local resources and services related to substance use, homeless and housing services.
β’ Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Teams, SharePoint, Office, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
The most competitive applicants will have the following experiences and qualifications (Desired):
β’ Experience working in housing or homeless service settings, harm reduction, overdose prevention, training and education, and/or outreach programs.
β’ Previous experience with REDCap.
