Mission Guarantee a seamless customer experience at the cash desk by overseeing all payment operations, leading the cashier team, and ensuring MANGO’s customer service and brand standards are always maintained. Responsibilities As the Head Cashier, your main responsibilities will include: • Customer Experience Excellence: • Ensure the final stage of the customer journey at the cash desk is smooth, efficient, and aligned with MANGO’s service standards. • Resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor. • Cash Desk Leadership & Operations: • Oversee all cashier procedures including opening/closing tills, refunds, exchanges, and gift card management while ensuring compliance with company policies. • Train, mentor, and support the cashier team to deliver excellent service and operational accuracy. • Manage consumables (bags, packaging materials, gift items) to ensure stock is always available. • Sales & Cross-Selling Support: • Support store sales goals by promoting complementary products and special services (e.g., gift vouchers, reservations, iPad purchases). • Maintain product knowledge to answer customer questions and assist with item location requests. • Visual Presentation & Store Standards: • Ensure the cash desk area is well-presented, tidy, and organized to reflect MANGO’s brand image. • Collaborate with the visual team to keep accessories and impulse purchase areas stocked and visually appealing. • Administration & Reporting: • Handle all delegated administrative tasks including daily cash reconciliations, consumable orders, and reporting of store KPIs related to cashier performance. • Monitor team productivity and contribute to ongoing improvements in cash desk operations. • Events & Brand Experience: • Support special in-store activations, ensuring customers receive a premium brand experience during checkout. Requirements • 1+ year experience in a Head Cashier or supervisory cashier role within retail. • Strong customer service orientation and ability to handle high-volume sales environments. • Proven ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and train new cashiers effectively. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and accuracy in handling transactions. • Ability to work at a fast pace while ensuring service excellence. • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. • Basic computer knowledge; experience with point-of-sale systems preferred. • Interest in fashion and brand representation. Compensation The pay rate for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $17.50/hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
