Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Engineering Enablement. This pivotal role is responsible for fostering an environment of continuous learning, growth, and collaboration within our engineering organization. The Head of Engineering Enablement will play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness, productivity, and innovation of our engineering teams by developing and implementing strategies, modern tools, and initiatives that empower our engineers to excel.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy Development:
- Develop a comprehensive strategy for engineering enablement that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Provide visionary leadership to drive the execution of engineering enablement initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment between engineering enablement efforts and overall business strategy.
- Learning and Development:
- Identify learning needs and skill gaps within the engineering organization.
- Design and implement training programs, workshops, and resources to address these needs and promote skill development.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing among engineers.
- Tools and Processes Optimization:
- Evaluate existing engineering tools, processes, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with engineering teams to implement best practices and streamline workflows.
- Introduce new tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments such as Product Management, Design, and Quality Assurance to ensure alignment and integration of engineering enablement efforts with overall product development processes.
- Foster strong relationships and communication channels between engineering and other teams to facilitate collaboration and cross-functional problem-solving.
- Performance Measurement and Analysis:
- Define key metrics and performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of engineering enablement initiatives.
- Analyze data and feedback to continuously improve programs and initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on the progress and impact of engineering enablement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required. Master's degree strongly preferred.
- Proven experience (15+ years) in a leadership role within a software engineering organization.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives and drive organizational change.
- Experience with learning and development programs, including curriculum design and delivery.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and measure impact.
- Passion for fostering a culture of learning, growth, and innovation within an engineering organization.
Benefits:
Salary Range for California Residents Only: $184,060.00 to $248,500.00
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Blackhawk Network offers benefits including 401k with employer match, medical, dental, vision, 12 paid holidays throughout the year, 1 hour of sick pay accrual for every 30 hours worked, parental leave, life insurance, disability insurance, accident and illness insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, wellness benefits, and flexible time off for all full-time employees.
