This role serves as Chief of Staff to the Chief Information Officer ("CIO") to help anticipate, operationalize, and execute on strategic initiatives as well as lead and support the continuous improvement of Business Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Trusted advisor for CIO to help anticipate, operationalize, and execute their most strategic initiatives partnering with the Strategy & PMO leader
- Support initiatives specific to information technology ("IT") business operations and ensuring financial goals are met
- Drive accountability across teams by ensuring that appropriate cadence, milestones, and relevant measurements are established
- Gather and facilitate prioritization of the Office of the CIO's projects, leadership meetings both for the IT Leadership (directs) and IT Sr. Leadership levels
- Run and manage all business rhythm meetings like Monthly Operating Reviews with external Board or investors, internal Monthly Business Reviews, All Hands, employee skip level or other Communications related items internal and external.
- Own and direct all budget performance, tracking and escalations for total IT spend across both Opex and Capex at the CIO level. Partnering with our Finance and FP&A teams on management of financial performance and production of reports
- Manage IT capital labor expenditures against target, tracking progress and driving accountability across the teams
- Direct responsibility for all of our vendor management strategy partnering with Corporate Procurement.
- Design, implement, and track KPIs for the IT organization to deliver against operational goals
- Direct and create all processes and presentations for key operational meetings internally and Board or Committee meetings.
- Compose documents and presentations for the Office of CIO for executive and Board meetings
- Triaging escalations that come to the Office of the CIO and alert CIO and/or other executives only when problems necessitate senior leader intervention or decisions, and ranking problems as they arise
- Advising and working directly with the Office of the CIO to plan, develop, and/or update new policies and strategies that improve business processes across the organization
- Supporting executive and organizational-level communications (internal and external)
- Managing a team of resources to delivery a portfolio of work (analysts, managers, project managers, communications, etc)
Qualifications
- Strong management skills, with particular emphasis on managing and developing program management and financial skill set
- Advanced financial modeling, forecasting and analytical skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions (in partnership with FP&A and business leaders)
- Function as a subject matter, process, and operational expert working closely with key business leaders to provide data that leads to the best investment in our people and execution of our business objectives
- Ability to jump from detailed financial analysis to high level strategic discussion to tactical execution to process improvement
- Strong project management capabilities with planning and setting timelines up to meet operational deadlines
- Strong propensity toward teamwork and collaboration to meet complex business requirements
- Ability to quickly prioritize and be decisive with time commitments
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills are required
- Demonstrated investigational and problem solving skills.
- Candidates must possess excellent analytical judgment and decision making skills with the ability to adapt to change
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively
- High Energy individual with strong work ethic
- Must be a self-motivated and able to multitask
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Education & Experience:
- Requires 15 years of IT Consulting or IT Program Management experience and a bachelor's degree in a related subject
- Experience in telecom is highly preferred
Base pay range: $175,000- $205,000, commensurate with experience
