Head of Quality Management Freiburg Site (x|f|m) – On-site 

Play a pivotal role in enabling the advancement of cell therapies through the development and availability of mission-critical biological ingredients. We are looking for a Head of Quality Management (x|f|m) for the Quality Management department in Freiburg at Sartorius CellGenix GmbH. In this position you will be responsible for leading the growing Quality Management organization consisting of Quality Assurance and Quality Control in collaboration with the extended leadership team on site.
Be part of our exciting growth journey, including the finalization of a brand new production facility in addition to our existing site in Freiburg. The team is consisting of more than 20 professionals and growing; looking forward to shaping the future with you. This position is available for full-time. The work location will be in Freiburg, our center of expertise for the development and production of biotechnological cell culture components for cell therapies.

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities

• You are accountable for and oversee all site-related Quality Assurance and Quality Control tasks including analytical development activities supporting GMP-production, process development and R&D as well as customer request

• You will define the quality strategy in coordination with the global quality management of the Advanced Therapy Solutions business unit and the R&D, production and marketing product management departments

• You ensure the implementation of the agreed quality targets and the monitoring of quality measures for the site(s)

• You ensure the maintenance and ongoing improvement of quality standards, taking into account the regulatory framework according to ISO 9001:2015, relevant GMP guidelines and customer requirements

• You work on the preparation of the quality budget and ensure compliance with it

• You act as the first point of contact for and represent the company on all quality-related issues

• As a member of the local management team, you will take responsibility for shaping site-related organizational developments

What will convince us

• Academic degree in Life Sciences or Biotechnology

• You have several years of professional experience in operational and strategic quality management functions in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry and in a GMP-regulated environment

• You have very good knowledge of regulatory requirements and international GMP regulations

• You have sound management experience and a confident manner as well as diplomatic skills

• Your strategic perspective helps to optimize internal processes and structures

• You have the ability to make pragmatic, solution-oriented decisions and communicate convincingly

• You act confidently in an international functionally organized group

• You are business fluent in German and English
