Summary
The Head of Supply Chain Customer Service provides strategic direction to the Customer Service Managers and team by setting the vision, direction, and culture. The role is accountable for development of KPI's and Service Level agreements and the delivery of department results. The head will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by driving improvement of the customer experience in alignment with Agribusiness Supply Chain and Sales strategies. The role will report to the VP of Supply Chain & Procurement and key stakeholders will include the VP of Wholesale Sales, the VP of Specialty Business, and the VP of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Be an innovative thought partner to the VP & Supply Chain leadership team. Lead the development of short, medium, and long-term customer service strategic objectives to respond to changing needs of the organization, new technology, new business, and to make a positive impact. Improve customer experiences through technology and team skills development.
- Collaborate with Sales, Transportation, S&OP, and Marketing to ensure a synchronized optimal customer experience, including providing innovative and scalable solutions. Foster proactive, value add communication to internal and external customers. Actively seek feedback from internal and external customers to optimize deliverables.
- Coach and develop Customer Service Managers in a proactive work culture that embraces DEI, empowers employees, focuses on continuous improvement, teamwork, and individual job satisfaction, and minimizes employee turnover. Cultivate succession planning and active career development to support individual team members to prepare for their next roles.
- Develop and communicate Customer Service Manager performance objectives, departmental KPI's, and service level agreements to deliver objectives aligned with overall business strategy. Create and maintain a culture of accountability in day-to-day functions to ensure effective, quality service delivery to internal/external customers.
Typical Education
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
Relevant Experience
- 8+ years related experience and/or training
