Job Summary Responsible for learning the healthcare environment and supporting operations/department In this role, the analyst participates in defined projects, works within single domain, follows established methodologies and completes assigned tasks with solid proficiency. Typically reports to a Director, Reporting & Analytics.Job Description Job Description MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business or related field preferred. Licenses/Certifications:Basic reporting certifications preferred: • Professional certifications FACHE, CHFP, CAHIMS, CPHIMS • Data Science/Analytics certifications (vary) • Epic Certifications (Caboodle, Cogito, Slicer Dicer, Revenue or Access Data Model) Experience / Knowledge / Skills: • 0-2 years relevant healthcare experience • 1-3 years with demonstrated analytics success • Proficient in MS Office suite • Basic data visualization tools • Fundamental reporting capabilities • Basic understanding of healthcare applications and data • Basic understanding of healthcare terminology • Fundamental workflows and processes • Novice domain knowledge metrics and regulatory requirements • Basic data collection and validation • Fundamental trend analysis • Simple variance reporting • Standard report interpretation • Good written and verbal communication skills • Solid problem solving and critical thinking skills • Time management skills PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Assists with gathering and documenting domain requirements • Supports departmental analysis of business workflows • Collaborates with domain stakeholders to understand requirements • Helps to build and maintain standard operational reports or dashboards under supervision • Documents processes, meeting notes, and maintain requirement traceability • Identifies basic trends and variances in domain performance metrics • Participates in improvement initiatives and domain analytics information system testing • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand healthcare terminology and system dependencies • Creates and distributes standard domain reports and basic dashboards using front end tools requirements • Attends and contributes to analytics community meetings • Maintains documentation of reporting processes and definitions • Ensures data quality and compliance with organizational policies • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service. • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as a resource to less experienced staff. • Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
