Position Summary We are seeking aHealthcare Data Analyst & Research Assistantto join our clinical outcomes team. This role involves working directly with patient data to assess the effectiveness of our respiratory therapy program. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for improving healthcare quality through data-driven research. Key Responsibilities • Extract, organize, and analyze patient data from our electronic health record (EHR) system. • Calculate and track key clinical performance indicators, including: • Hospital admission and readmission rates • Pulmonary function metrics (e.g., FEV1) • Functional mobility outcomes (e.g., 6-Minute Walk Test results) • Create clear, visually compelling reports, graphs, and dashboards to communicate outcomes. • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure data accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. • Present data insights and recommendations to the clinic’s leadership team to inform program development and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a program related to Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or a related medical or analytical field. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with additional tools such as R, SPSS, Tableau, or Power BI is preferred. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. • Understanding of patient confidentiality and data security standards. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated interest in clinical research, healthcare analytics, or outcomes evaluation.
