Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Mechanic

Overview We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC systems, including design, installation, and maintenance. This role requires mechanical expertise and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The Air Conditioning Engineer will work closely with other professionals in the construction and property maintenance sectors to ensure optimal performance of HVAC systems. Responsibilities • Design, install, and maintain HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards. • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on air conditioning units and refrigeration systems. • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues related to HVAC equipment. • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to facilitate repairs and installations. • Collaborate with construction teams to integrate HVAC systems into new builds or renovations. • Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and diagnostics. • Perform welding tasks as needed for equipment repairs or modifications. • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used. • Provide exceptional customer service while addressing client concerns or questions regarding HVAC systems. Qualifications • Proven experience as an HVAC technician or engineer with a focus on air conditioning systems. • Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems. • Familiarity with construction practices and property maintenance requirements. • Experience in field service roles that involve appliance repair or equipment maintenance. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Valid driver's license is required; experience driving larger vehicles is a plus. • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is desirable but not mandatory. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
