Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating & Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC systems, with a focus on heating & air conditioning installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment in both residential and commercial settings. Duties • Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems in residential and commercial properties. • Troubleshoot HVAC issues using schematics and technical manuals. • Conduct routine inspections of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance. • Perform equipment repairs on hot water and steam boilers, furnaces, heat pumps and other HVAC/R components. • Utilize tools such as multimeter, manometer, megohmmeter, and combustion analyzer • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions. • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used using smartphone and/or tablet. • Adhere to safety protocols while working in various environments, including construction sites. • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and concerns. Qualifications • 3-5 years experience as a service technician in HVAC or related fields. • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC repair, plumbing, and property maintenance a plus. • Familiarity with HVAC design principles. • Timeliness and a strong work ethic with the ability to maintain company van organization and cleanliness. • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively. • Must understand ladder safety and have the ability to service rooftop units in both residential and light commercial settings. • Experience in field service roles is an asset. • Valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Steam/hot water boiler and heat pump experience is a plus. • A commitment to ongoing professional development in the HVAC industry.
