Johnston Memorial Hospital and Ballad Health Medical Associates located in Abingdon, VA are currently seeking a BE/BC, Full Time Hem/Onc Physician to join their established, stable group. Candidate will join a wonderful medical community with supportive administration. Radiation Oncology onsite with TruBeam & SBRT capabilities. There is an active navigation program, American Cancer Society Resource Room and partnership with non-profits such as Susan G. Komen, Cancer Outreach etc. A robust and aligned local medical community support this service and many of the providers are aligned with Ballad Health.

Support:

Physician will join 2 additional Hem/Onc Physicians and 3 APPs. The APPs manage infusion services and see acute & symptomatic patients and work under the direct supervision of the physician group. There is a large, diverse support staff of APPs, RNs, dietary, navigators, schedulers, pre-cert and financial team. Practice includes a full-service infusion room and a typical out-patient oncology practice. Pharmacy is managed by hospital-based team, which includes an oncology boarded pharmacist on staff. Support from specialists to include Rad Onc, Surgery, Pulm, GI, Urology, OB/GYN, Pathology, Radiology (including IR). There is also a strong primary care cohort with IM and FM residents training at JMH.

United States residency is required.
