High School Math/Middle School Science Teacher

Chaparral Star Academy is an open-enrollment public charter school in Austin, Texas serving students in grades K-12. CSA offers a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum in a compacted 4-hour daily schedule. Students attend either the morning session (7:45 am- 11:50 am) or the afternoon session (12:05 pm-4:10 pm), allowing more flexibility for extracurricular activities such as gymnastics, horseback riding, acting, hockey, figure skating or any passion the child may have. Class sizes are limited to 15 students per class, as we strive to enable young minds to pursue their passion in a community of excellence. Chaparral Star Academy is accepting applications for the position offull time math/science instructor. The qualified candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for required instructional areas, demonstrated competency in the subject area assigned, and general knowledge of curriculum and instruction. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Previous teaching experience is preferred.
