What You'll Get to Do

CACI is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to be responsible for all aspects of testing HighVIEW's Software Development Framework (SDK). As a member of the HighVIEW test team, you will be heavily involved in the testing of the HighVIEW product and will participate in requirement meetings and design reviews. You will perform tasks related to data, functional, regression, application interface, and system testing of the HighVIEW SDK and related tools using manual testing methodologies and automated testing frameworks. In addition, you will design and develop testing solutions for advanced backend capabilities (i.e., Bulk Import, Workflow, Automated Redaction, Language Translation, RESTful services) in the HighVIEW product. At times, you'll work closely with product integrators and external customers to identify challenging technical issues.

More About the Role

The Software Development Engineer in Test will be responsible for developing software for testing: tools, frameworks, and automated tests. The candidate will enable teams to deliver high quality results against the most complex business and technology initiatives. The candidate will:

  • Focus on manual and automated testing of back-end HighVIEW components. Limited web application testing is involved.
  • Develop, maintain, and operate custom-built automation frameworks using a variety of automation tools; implementing various automation strategies based on the HighVIEW component under test
  • Develop tools and utilities to automatically generate test data
  • Define standards and procedures to support testing activities
  • Lead the development of test plans to ensure the quality of complex HighVIEW components
  • Work with the DevOps team to define, implement, manage, and maintain automated testing tools, quality management tools, performance testing tools and other products to support the efficient execution of the test plans
  • Maintain standards for the development of testing materials (e.g., scripts, configurations, utilities, tools, plans, and results)
  • Support tracking of test results and provide testing progress data as input to status reports
  • Support Agile Development Testing, Functional Testing, Performance Testing, System Testing and User Acceptance Testing

You'll Bring These Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline.
  • At least five (5) years related technical experience, with software testing and software development in a Windows environment
  • Strong software testing background and extensive knowledge of software testing techniques and methods
  • Highly skilled with development as well as testing knowledge
  • Experience developing custom automation frameworks and automated testing scripts using unconventional methods
  • Familiarity with XML, JSON, powershell, batch scripting
  • Experience with database testing including designing and manipulating test data
  • Strong experience with Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL
  • Knowledge of C#, .NET, Java or other programming languages
  • Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Experience developing or testing RESTful services, Workflow, Redaction tools, and/or Machine Learning capabilities
  • Familiarity with FOIA and/or Declassification processes
  • Strong experience with certificates and Certificate Authorities
  • AWS Cloud Database (RDS) experience, especially Oracle

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $65,300-$134,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
