The selected candidate will be based in Dakar which is a hub to the WBG for West and Central Africa. The first operation "Investing in Maternal and Child Health project" is supporting the health sector ongoing reforms and priorities identified in the GFF Investment Case and the analytical work developed previously. The second operation is REDISSE Project, a regional and multi-sectoral Project, with an additional financing being mobilized to renew the fonds used for the COVID-19 response. The third project is COVID-19 Response Project that also includes an additional financing of US$134 million. Senegal is expected to join the Sahel Women's Empowerment and Demographic Dividend (SWEDD) regional project through a new series of project (SOP) with a Board date scheduled for July 2023. Finally, a Programmatic Advisory Services and Analytics (pASA) work supported by GFF and PHC Trust Fund is under preparation with the main objective to generate evidence and provide technical support to the government to improve efficiency and equity of health spending.
