Be part of a world–class health system while providing patient–centered care in an award–winning, rural community hospital.   UPMC Bedford has a rewarding hospitalist position with robust compensation and benefits.   Our competitive compensation and benefits package includes 1–week PTO, generous CME allowance, occurrence–based malpractice insurance, employer–funded retirement plan, paid health/dental/vision insurance, life/disability insurance, and more.   The service consists of 2 full–time physicians and 4 APPs (CRNPs/PAs) who provide inpatient care and collaborate with ER, specialists and primary care physicians.   Opportunity Details      Patient load can be 8 –18 adult inpatients per day from admission through discharge.    Work schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off, 12–hour shifts, with nights covered by APPs and UPMC telemedicine.    NO CALL responsibilities. No OB or peds. No procedures and no ICU responsibilities.       UPMC Bedford is an acute care, 40–bed community hospital with medical, surgical, cardiac care and telemetry services, with a variety of diagnostic, treatment and rehab services. The medical staff is augmented by specialists who hold regular office hours in Bedford County, and provide inpatient and telemedicine consults.   We offer exceptional career growth opportunities and stability as part of a financially strong and thriving world–class health system. The UPMC affiliation provides the best of both worlds – access to a world–class health system while providing patient–centered care in a rural setting.   Work Location(s):   ? UPMC Bedford: 10455 Lincoln Hwy, Everett, PA 15537 ?   Optional internal moonlighting at regional partner campus UPMC Altoona available     Qualifications/Licensure, Certifications and Clearances:      Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine    BLS, ACLS Certified    Must qualify for a medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.       Physicians requiring J1 and H1b visa sponsorship welcome   Compensation: Recently enhanced base salary with multiple bonuses: sign–on, wRVU, quality, and retention; robust benefit package; relocation; 7 days PTO/year; CME allowance.
