We are seeking a dynamic and results-drivenBusiness Travel Sales Managerto join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for soliciting and managing business travel accounts, driving revenue, and expanding our client base. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong sales acumen, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Actively solicit new and existing business travel accounts through prospecting, outside sales calls, presentations, and site inspections to meet or exceed revenue and room night goals.
• Research, identify, and qualify new business opportunities through database research, lead generation, and proactive outreach.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive business transient revenue, increase market share, and shift share from competitors.
• Conduct client meetings, site visits, presentations, and negotiations to secure business and strengthen client relationships.
• Manage accounts by ensuring smooth booking pathways, providing business production reports upon request, and creating targeted promotions to drive demand.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless execution of client expectations and account servicing.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and community functions to promote the property and build relationships.
• Continuously adapt sales strategies based on changing market conditions and competitive insights.
• Participate in daily business review meetings, sales training, and strategic planning sessions.
• Apply strong sales and communication skills to engage customers and create tailored solutions based on their needs.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Minimum of two years of business travel sales experience, preferably within the Bay Area market.
• Proven track record of managing business travel accounts for a hotel of similar size and caliber.
• Experience withMARRFPandKalibristrongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of market trends, competitive landscape, and key customers within the business travel segment.
• Advanced sales skills, including prospecting, revenue management, and contract negotiation.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations, including marketing strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
• Proficiency inMicrosoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor communication to various audiences.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Reliable transportation.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
• Must be sales-driven and goal-oriented.
• 3+ years of past Hotel sales experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Advanced industry and competitive market.
• Ability to execute appropriate action plans to meet sales targets.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to support co-workers.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to set priorities.
• Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
