SHIFT HOURS: 2:00 p.m.- 10:30 p.m.
SUMMARY:We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Cleaning Tech. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. This person will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining room and public areas. Key Responsibilities:
β’ Cleaning and Sanitizing:Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas including resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, and offices.
β’ Trash Removal:Empty trash receptacles and disposal of waste by established procedures. Ensure proper segregation of recyclable and non-recyclable materials.
β’ Linen Management:Collect used linens, towels, and bedding from resident rooms and replace them with clean linens as needed. Transport soiled linens to the laundry area for washing and folding.
β’ Restroom Maintenance:Clean and sanitize restroom fixtures including sinks, toilets, urinals, and mirrors. Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as necessary.
β’ Floor Care:Perform floor care duties including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain cleanliness and appearance. Follow safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
β’ Stock Inventory:Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure availability for daily tasks. Report any supply shortages or equipment malfunctions to the Facilities Manager promptly.
β’ Adherence to Safety Standards:Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while performing cleaning tasks. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety hazards or incidents to the Facilities Manager.
β’ Collaboration:Collaborate with other departments and staff members to address cleaning needs and maintain a coordinated approach to facility maintenance.
β’ Compliance:Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend improvements to cleaning processes as needed.
β’ Documentation:Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, supply usage, and equipment maintenance. Complete cleaning logs and reports as required by the Facilities Manager.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
β’ Two yearsβ experience preferred.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent.
β’ Proven experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.
β’ Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
β’ Willing to work different shifts.
β’ Ability to work unsupervised.
β’ Takes direction well.
β’ Strong attention to detail.
β’ Physically capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
β’ Honest and trustworthy.
β’ Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
β’ Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.24 per hour
