Job Summary
Position is responsible for providing frontline customer service/consultation for MHHS active employees and former employees by responding to a high volume of telephone calls, email inquiries and faxes within Human Resources Shared Services for specific subject matter expertise.Job Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:Â Bachelors degree preferred, preferably in a related field (HR or Business Management)
Licenses/Certifications: (None)
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
-
Four (4) years human resources or relevant customer service experience required; with Bachelors or Masters degree, no experience is required.

Ability to manage the employee experience and deliver exceptional customer service, which includes providing accurate information while educating the customer on resources, tools and subject matter where appropriate.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with varying timelines and deadlines with autonomy and accuracy.

Must have the ability to function effectively in a team environment.

Must have functional knowledge in area of expertise of designated team:
-

Employee Relations & Compliance: Knowledge to include but not limited to ability to interpret HR policies and practices, leaves and disabilities and applicable laws, regulations and plan details.

Intermediate or above proficiency in Microsoft Office products with proficient data entry and navigation skills.

Ability to review information and reports, identify an issue and solution or provide recommendations.

Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and de-escalate situations.

Must have capacity to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Ability to interpret policies effectively and determine when escalation of the issue is appropriate.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Additional Principal Accountabilities specific to the designated functional team can be found in the HR Shared Services Department but general Principal Accountabilities for this role in HR Shared Services are below:

Acts as consultant for HR Shared Services to address complex HR questions/issues requiring subject-matter expertise.

Works collaboratively with HRIS and ISD to initiate HR-related systems enhancements and new initiatives.

Manages daily interaction with carriers and vendors on plan administration, eligibility reporting as necessary.

Investigates and actively seeks resolution to problems and concerns.
-
Monitors progress of important initiatives and key activities.
-
Researches, analyzes, and proposes solutions and/or makes recommendations regarding processes.

Compiles information and prepares reports as necessary.
-
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
