Job Description
The role of the HR Manager is to Provide HR leadership, support, advocacy, and vision for assigned functions and locations. Anticipate and assess business needs in partnership with HR leadership, USA HR team, and operational leadership, in order to develop integrated solutions that support the mission, culture, and business goals and objectives. Coach, mentor and manage assigned HR team members to ensure successful, meaningful outcomes. Manage the recruitment, benefit and leave, and compensation functions including applicable systems.
As a member of the USA Human Resources Team ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations relating to HR and assigned areas of responsibility.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesÂ
- As a member of the HR leadership team, assist in developing and/or identifying successful strategies, tools, processes, procedures, and programs that support company business goals and objectives and support team member engagement and ability to succeed.
- Oversee the recruitment, benefit & leave, as well as compensation functions, working collaboratively with HR management, HR team and Operational leadership to develop and maintain programs which meet the current and future needs of the business; including but not limited to strategy, process development, troubleshooting and strategy execution.Â
- Recruitment: Oversee and provide guidance to the recruitment function. Ensuring positions within Pyrotek are filled in an expedient, compliant manner and that processes ensure candidates are aligned with Pyrotek values. Manage Affirmative Action and EEO Program and applicable reporting and compliance requirements.
- Benefits and Leave: Oversee and provide guidance to benefits and leave function. Ensuring leaves are processed in a compliantly, efficiently and in a way that is aligns with Pyrotek values while also supporting business needs. Active involvement in benefits plan administration including but not limited to plan development, adjustments, communications and open enrollment strategy.
- Compensation: Oversee and provide guidance on the establishment of a competitive compensation program which is aligned with Pyrotek strategy and business goals. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to the annual merit process, the advancement of HR reporting and analytics, as well as compliance reporting requirements.
- Partner with and support leadership, and operations by:
- Serving as the HR expert of recruitment, benefits & leave and compensation for the US states, county municipalities in which Pyrotek operates, staying up to date on new and revised rules, laws, and ordinances.
- Providing timely updates and present proposals related to changes, concerns, and process improvements.
- Lead, coach and provide guidance on a variety of HR related functions, programs, policies, and initiatives, to include:
- Providing guidance and interpretation to management on team member matters ensuring all people management is accomplished fairly, consistently, and in compliance with federal/state regulations and Pyrotek policy.
- Working with the recruitment, benefits and leave, compensation as well as HR leadership and operational HR on continuous improvement in strategies for recruitment, benefits and leave and compensation.
- Serve as a collaborative and supportive member of the HR leadership, providing insight and perspective on department issues, problems or ideas. As needed/applicable:
- Conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations and developing creative solutions.
- Providing guidance and input to managers on workforce planning, restructure, and succession planning.
- Providing guidance to management on coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Improving work relationships, building morale, and increasing productivity and retention. Researching and identifying innovative solutions to help increase retention.
- Driving the continuous development of engaging and successful new team member orientations that meet compliance requirements, support Pyrotek’s culture, ensure connection, and provide context. Ensuring the timely completion of HR, payroll, tax, and benefit documents to ensure new team members are properly enrolled in benefits and set up in the payroll system.
- Actively encouraging continuous learning by providing management training and coaching in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment, as needed.

Qualifications
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, plus a minimum of eight (8) years of Human Resources experience, including direct experience in a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, benefits and leaves, and compensation; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specialized experience in performance management, strategic planning, organization development, training, and employee relations is a plus. Experience working in a manufacturing environment highly valued. Previous management experience a plus.
Certifications: SHRM-CP/PHR, SHRM-SCP/SPHR or ability to obtain. Additional HR certifications a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Human Resources. In-depth working knowledge of all aspects of Human Resources with a strong emphasis in the disciplines of recruitment, benefits and leave and compensation as well as employment law and people strategies. Specialized experience and skills with HR systems such as ATS or HRIS is a plus. Possess the functional and technical skills, which guarantee a high level of accomplishment.
Core People Skills/Credibility. Ability to build a culture of tolerance, acceptance, and civility by setting an example to team members. Ability to positively interact, work collaboratively with and motivate a diverse group of people at all levels of the organization. Genuine with high ethical standards and values, and personal integrity and honesty. Ability to apply a large measure of common sense to a variety of situations.Â
Leadership Skills. Ability to coach and motivate team members in planning, strategic management, decision-making, teamwork, and process improvement. Ability to effectively manage team projects to completion according to schedule. Ability to provide regular performance feedback and to write annual performance reviews. Ability to foster attitudes, conditions and environments that guide teams toward excellence and a respectful, positive, transparent, and collaborative environment. Ability to develop team member skills and encourage growth, and to foster quality focus including improving product development processes and procedures.
Project Management Skills. Knowledge of principals of project management, including creation of vision and mission, establishing goals or objectives, establishing project teams, applying comprehensive root cause analysis, implementing intervention, ensuring organizational alignment, and measuring progress and success is preferred. Excellent planning and relationship building skills. Ability to liaise with middle and upper Pyrotek management for scope negotiation in a manner that upholds Pyrotek’s values and reflects positively on HR department.
Travel. Ability to travel by land and air, primarily in North America up to 30%. Potential for infrequent international travel. Current US Passport or ability to obtain.

Must be able to sit for long periods-of-time, bend and reach, use stairs, lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and communicate effectively in English by telephone, in person and in writing. Effectively use a personal computer, office equipment and telephone.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
While performing the essential responsibilities of this position, team member generally will work in an office environment. Travel by land and air domestically up to 30%.

Additional Information
The minimum and maximum salary range for this full-time position is $100k - $140k + benefits.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in this posted role reflect the base salary only and do not include bonus or benefits.Â
