We are looking for an HR Operations & Payroll Manager to join our growing People & Culture team. You should enjoy analyzing information, optimizing people-data, providing excellent customer service, and have a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving overall effectiveness of HR processes and systems, including payroll, HRIS management, HR data management, leave of absence administration, benefits administration, and HR Dashboards.Â
What You’ll Do
HR Operations
- Continually identify opportunities to innovate and create better systems solutions, focusing on driving efficiencies within the HR organization
- Analyze users' requests, research solutions, and resolve issues as needed
- Ensure all HR-related systems are compliant with data protection laws
- Understand the end-to-end process and underlying data sources to identify data inconsistencies and make recommendations to improve data integrity
- Manage, and document implementation of changes/upgrades to systems and processes
- Develop user guides, system documentation, and training guides
- Train system users on new processes and functionality
- Point of contact for payroll, benefits, Leave management, performance management, and HRIS reporting
- Responsible for annual benefits, HR, 401k compliance filings
- Supports FMLA, STD, and other protected leaves from an administrative standpoint
Payroll
- Accurately process bi-weekly payroll in ADP WFN in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
- Ensure information accuracy in the HRIS and Payroll system
- Responsible for the input and ongoing maintenance of employee information and ensuring quality and accuracy of all entries in ADP WFN
- Manage and own the organization's internal HR information system
- Manage year end payroll and benefits audits and tax corrections in ADP WFN
Must-Haves
- 5+ years’ experience processing payroll, minimum of 2 years ADP WFN
- Strong understanding of HR systems, multi-state payroll, and federal and state employment regulations
- High degree of accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality is essential
- In-depth knowledge of HR systems (ADP WFN), reporting, data, and analysis
- Understanding of employee benefit plans
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present findings and communicate complex concepts
- Ability to meet critical deadlines, prioritize multiple tasks, and work with minimal direction
- Aptitude for learning new technologies
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools
Working Environment and Physical Demand
- Onsite or remote
- 25% travel to main office in Asheville for meetings and company events
