The HR Technologies Architect will be responsible for helping to drive the technology digitization of the HR Function and support the existing HR applications in use. This person will partner with the HR Digital Product Manager to help develop the HR technology roadmap, evaluate, and investigate technology that could support transformation of processes and capabilities, collaborate with other IT teams to ensure we are staying compliant with data privacy and security, and lead the execution of projects to deliver strong technology in support of our Human Resources organization at Allegion. This role will also be expected to learn existing HR technology inclusive of Docebo, Kronos, Workday, and others and will be able to help provide support for existing applications along with the other members of the HR IT team at Allegion.

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with HR Digital Product Manager to develop requirements, identify best-practice solutions, develop and align on an HR technology strategy, and deliver desired business process automation and analytics solutions.
  • Become a technical / functional expert resource for HR for all systems and processes leveraging HR data.
  • Work with the business to develop requirements and architect best practice solutions in existing HR technology footprint
  • Help drive the design and delivery of analytics solutions for HR in partnership with our data teams
  • Deliver technology which drives automation and HR technology transformation initiatives
  • Support the delivery of new processes or technology that will benefit the Global HR organization.
  • Learn capabilities of existing HR applications and provide user support as necessary
  • Understand and follow Data Governance and ensure attention to data quality
  • Understand and follow defined integration/development standards and best practices
  • Understand and ensure security and data privacy standards
  • Ensure deliverables function as designed based on functional and technical requirements
  • High service level expectations in support of HR applications and the user community.
  • Ability to translate business problems and opportunities into solutions including scope and delivery strategy.
  • System requirement analysis, including documenting current and future state business processes, and analyzing their interaction and interdependencies to support process design.
  • Analyze business and IT issues, including process inefficiencies and systems problems.
  • Ability to translate business problems and opportunities into solutions including scope and delivery strategy.
  • Able to work with users in the HR and IT community to collaboratively evaluate solutions and alternatives.
  • Coordinate the activities of systems developers and IT community as needed.
  • Liaise with users to ensure deliverables are meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Support solution and user acceptance testing as necessary.
  • Work with IT Security to ensure the integrity and security of all HR data as it's used across all HR platforms and as we establish our HR technology roadmap

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business (or Management), Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years experience with XSLT, XML, MVEL, Eclipse development, Web Services, Middleware knowledge of tools like WebMethods, SOAP UI, Java
  • Experience with designing and implementing ETL processes and the use of ETL tools such as Informatica
  • Experience with Workday Integrations is a plus
  • 3-5 years experience with complex business applications in a support and development environment with prior experience supporting HR systems or a technology transformation effort a plus
  • Demonstrable knowledge, skills and experience across a range of subject areas in HR, for example organization design, process design, recruitment, learning and payroll is a plus but not required
  • Experience in designing and developing solutions as part of a technology transformation effort
  • Experience with Cloud and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions; such as Workday, Salesforce.com, SuccessFactors) and Single-Sign On (SSO) approaches
  • Understand basic database architecture, tables, functional interactions, and recognize and understand impacts to downstream systems
  • Experience with Enterprise Portal technologies, PeopleSoft, Org Publisher, Workforce Analytics tools and Data Security, including Secured FTP and scripting/encryption tools
  • Experience with time keeping solutions likes Kronos preferred but not required
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and projects with varying deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize with minimal supervision and interact with employees at all levels
  • Experience with business process flow and cause-effect diagramming and analysis
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Experience supporting a global organization preferred but not required

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  • The expected Base Salary Range: $103,000 - $140,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
  • Bonus Eligible: Yes
