The opportunity

Hitachi Energy High Voltage Products team provides products which help enhance the safety, reliability and efficiency of power networks while minimizing environmental impact. Our technology leadership continues to facilitate developments in areas such as ultra-high-voltage power transmission, enabling smart grids and enhancing eco-efficiency.

The Laboratory is a unique test facility for high voltage products. Its main purpose is to perform high quality testing both in the development of new products and in certification of the products for a global market. A large variety of non-routine electrical and mechanical test procedures implies that health and safety is a focused and critical area. Our ambition is to establish the HSE area in the labs as "best-in-class" and something that we are proud of and that can serve as a role model within the global organization.

Your responsibilities

  • You will be a natural member of Lab Management Team and will represent the lab in HSE related forums as well as the global laboratory organization.
  • In this role you will have the chance to develop & maintain HSE part of Lab management system.
  • Lead and have ownership of HSE related projects & initiatives and have close collaboration within the Global & High Voltage HSE community.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in complying with all local HSE legal requirements and reporting on objectives and progress to milestones and HSE KPI's.
  • Perform HSE audits / inspections and ensure appropriate corrective actions are developed and implemented on a timely basis.
  • Evaluate site HSE risks and challenges and develop appropriate risk reduction strategies, including Risk Assessments, ABRA.
  • Lead and/or participate in incident investigations and ensure appropriate root causes are identified, and corrective actions are developed / implemented.

Your background

  • To be successful in this role, you hold a university degree together with several years of relevant work experience, preferably from an international company.
  • Have knowledge and experience within all safety areas, beneficial electrical experience.
  • If you have leadership skills and are driven to create a good team spirit, you will thrive in this role.
  • The person that we think would be a good match in this role is driven, structured and pedagogical.
  • English and Swedish language skills, both written and spoken.
