The successful candidate will serve as an influential people partner, advising business leaders across Cox and implementing progressive people programs that transform the business and enable future success. In addition, you'll play a key role in developing and implementing the HR strategy and programs for the HRBP team. Additional responsibilities include:
- Facilitate development of integrated people plans and ensure alignment with organization strategies and goals for the information technology, legal, and government affairs groups.
- Influence senior leaders to accelerate business priorities through talent management, diversity and inclusion, rewards/recognition and organizational effectiveness.
- Coach and counsel leaders and managers on effective leadership skills that promote a culture that is productive and empowering.
- Plan and promote the understanding, application, and improvement of strategies to address talent gaps and needs.
- Support smooth organizational transitions using change management best practices.
- Anticipate and respond to changing business needs. Influence lasting change by serving as a change advocate on companywide strategies and initiatives.
- Analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to solve problems, advise leaders, and drive continuous improvement of talent priorities.
Program Management Responsibilities
- Partner with HR Business Partners, managers, and department leaders to ensure seamless program integration and alignment with business needs.
- Act as a subject matter expert on HR best practices for all People Solutions annual lifecycle and key initiatives to ensure program effectiveness.
- Engage with People Solutions Centers of Excellence to develop policies, programs, tools and analytical processes to recommend/ enhance people processes and drive operational excellence.
- Articulate the voice of the customer (employee, manager, business leaders and HRBP) and advocate for them.
- Act as a visionary to foster a culture of continuous improvement, regularly seeking feedback and implementing enhancements to HR programs based on data-driven insights.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
You have a mindset of continuous improvement, working diligently to move the needle on important HR issues. You're a forward-thinking team player who has strong business acumen. You also have the following;
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field. Advance degree is a plus.
- 6+ years progressive experience in HR disciplines with a strategic focus. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years of experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years of experience in a related field with no degree.
- Experience working with, coaching, and influencing senior leaders.
- Strong HR and business acumen, including problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal) to collaborate effectively with teams throughout the organization.
- HR certification such as PHR, SPHR or GPHR preferred.
- Ability to work independently to take initiative in pursuing responsibilities.
- High customer service focus: a team player with the ability to perform effectively under competing demands.
- Demonstrated ability to drive human resource strategies and programs in a complex, fast growing, and dynamic environment.
- Success working within a matrixed organization.
