THE ROLE: Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist is an integral part of a very hands-on and fast-paced team.  The person in this highly visible role will assist with the day-to-day Associate engagement, exhibit broad HR knowledge, administer company policies and offer support to the Management team. The person in this role will maintain confidentiality while providing a high level of service to associates.  This is an on-site position located at our fulfillment center in Shepherdsville, KY.

We’re looking for…

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
• 2+ years' related experience

• High proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Must be a team player and enjoy service-oriented type of work.
• Enthusiasm and desire to engage and contribute ideas to the team is a must.

• Ability to stay current with HR best practices and the willingness to learn new tasks.

• Possesses and demonstrates strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Must be willing to take initiative & ownership.
• Strong overall computer and administrative skills.
• Experience maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality
• Experience juggling multiple assignments and deadlines with accuracy and pride of ownership in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including prioritization and follow-through.
• Flexible during times of transition and change.

What You’ll Do:

• • Will facilitate new hire orientation, maintain training documents and assist in processing new hire paperwork as needed.
  • Lead company recognition programs and events.
  • Engages with Associates and management team.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave of absence; handle employee relations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
