Your Mission

We are excited for a Human Resources Manager join our HR team in Irvine, CA. This role will be an HR business and thought partner to the World of Warcraft (WoW) Development team, which is home more than 500 employees focused on creating the best MMO in the industry. Reporting to the Director Human Resources, this person will partner with the WoW team driving strategic HR work and initiatives across the enterprise. The HR Manager will be trusted to coordinate and facilitate delivery of HR responsibilities including (but not limited to) organization design, change management, employee engagement, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, learning & development, compensation, and HR process administration. Immediate focus areas include change management of organization change, rapid hiring, and employee engagement and retention. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is excited to both learn from and advise experienced HR leaders.

Priorities can often change in an environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following accountabilities:

  • Use the resources and centers of excellence (COE) across the global human resources organization to provide full-scope HR support to leaders: management coaching, employee relations, talent acquisition, employee engagement, learning and development, organization design, change management, cyclical compensation and performance processes
  • Partner closely with the Dir HR, Franchise People Officer HR and key executives to create, implement, and drive a talent agenda and strategy for the organization
  • Identify levers and develop strategies that measurably improve engagement and retention (e.g. talent assessments, engagement surveys, exit surveys)
  • Motivate change management efforts across organizations, ensuring employee and partner impact are at the forefront of decisions, and that changes are driven with strong process integrity
  • Manage the execution of HR employee lifecycle processes throughout assigned organizations, such as goal setting, performance management, talent planning and annual merit (compensation)
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects as needed to enhance the overall HR function, i.e., HR processes, policies, systems, that impact employee experience and productivity and may progress the company as a whole
  • Build relationships with leaders and employees to be positioned as a trusted, knowledgeable, and plugged-in HR business partner who can proactively recognize future team needs and develop long-term plans that support strategic objectives
  • Act as a catalyst for change: help set direction, manage strong change management and create execution plans for organization changes
  • Work with leaders and employees to identify, establish, and maintain a positive work environment and authentic culture which encourages diversity, inclusion, and belonging

Candidate Profile

  • 7+ years of progressive HR (or other relevant) experience
  • Proven experience directly supporting managers and senior leaders, influencing leaders to make better people decisions that achieve business results
  • Strategic consultative approach to building rapport, credibility and trust with employees and management
  • Outstanding project management skills delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic business environment
  • Knowledge of contemporary HR practices
  • Solid communicator with the ability to craft meaningful, effective messaging on strategic objectives or priorities to a diverse audience

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $87,480.00 - $161,910.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
