Job Description
The Human Resources Specialist (Talent Acquisition) provides administrative and tactical support to the Global Human Resources Manager – Talent Acquisition in all facets of talent acquisition for Gowan Group. This position serves the organization by providing global talent acquisition support that will facilitate functional excellence and leadership growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing ATS / IT support / helping with training Regional HR Managers.
- Managing Gowan sourcing channels, conducting passive talent searches, etc.
- Posting positions to specialty websites, ensuring all relevant sourcing channels are utilized.
- Scheduling interviews for TA manager, hiring managers, and candidates.
- Recording/payment of all TA invoices (Headhunter, sourcing channels (LinkedIn), TA related HRIS, etc.
- Manage the Onboarding process including obtaining required paperwork, educating new employees on policies, entering employees into payroll system, etc.
- Facilitating background checks for top, or final, candidates
- Helping organize careers fairs at relevant colleges/universities, determine Gowan attendance schedule.
- Assist with analytics and reporting from E1, ATS, etc.
- Candidate management in ATS to ensure the optimum candidate experience.
- Creating Requisitions, identifying business units, etc.
- Work with Total Rewards team to negotiate relocation and immigration offers, as relevant.
- Assist with Hiring Manager / Supervisor new employee training schedule template, help keep up to date.
- Sharepoint / internal communications – help keep internal TA site up to date.
- Offboarding – Help schedule exit interviews, capture and interpret retention analytics, etc.Â
Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
- Required: 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, or related field.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree (Human Resources, BBA, or related field.
- Preferred: SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification
- Preferred: Work experience in agricultural or manufacturing industriesÂ
Required Competencies/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Learning Management Systems and other relevant software.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Proactive and able to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborative and team-oriented.
- Technical Proficiency: Suite of MS-Office Applications, Global HRIS Systems
