HVAC and Refrigeration Technician

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled AND EXPERIENCED Refrigeration Technician to join our team. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This is also a crossover position that will service residential units. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, cooling, and refrigeration units for COMMERCIAL and residential customers. New commercial construction with start-ups and pipefitting experience a plus also. - Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components in residential and commercial settings. - Familiarity with (BAS) and understanding of the digital protocol with variable refrigerant flow systems. Navigate, clear alarms and reset parameters on VFD's. - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, and checking refrigerant levels in a residential and commercial setting. - Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions using schematics and diagnostic tools - Experience with VRF and VRV is required. - Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, motors, valves, and thermostats - Test system performance and ensure proper operation - Adhere to safety protocols and follow industry regulations - Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions. COMMUNICATION IS KEY. We expect a quality communicator to our clients, vendors, other trades and to our office staff. Experience: - Proven experience5 YEARS MINIMUMas a HVAC Refrigeration Technician or similar role - Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, including both mechanical and electrical components - EPA & OSHA Certificate - Sheet metal installation a plus - Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately - Detail-oriented with good organizational skills - Must have experience with welding (brazing), hanging compressors, single and 3 phase systems. - Computer skills for iPad and cell phone communication and documentation If you are a skilled Refrigeration Technician looking for a challenging role within a team with opportunities for growth, we encourage you to apply.
