Job Description
Curb Adapter Field Technician (HVAC Industry)
Full-Time | Base Salary + Travel Reimbursement | Travel Required
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Curb Adapter Field Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting on-site measurements, inspections, and evaluations to support the accurate manufacturing and installation of HVAC curb adapters. The ideal candidate has technical experience in HVAC or mechanical systems, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and precision in the field.
As a Field Technician, you will be the eyes and ears on the rooftop: assessing site readiness, providing essential field data, and helping our customers achieve successful rooftop unit replacements. This role requires regular travel, physical work at heights, and close collaboration with internal teams such as Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing. This role is a key contributing role within the Sales Team.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct accurate field measurements of rooftop units and curbs to support custom curb adapter fabrication.
• Assess job site conditions and verify compatibility of replacement RTUs with existing roof structures.
• Document measurements using standardized tools, photos, and technical sketches.
• Communicate job-specific site data to internal teams with clarity and attention to detail.
• Provide on-site support and technical guidance to contractors as needed.
• Adhere to all safety standards and protocols while working at heights or on rooftops.
• Travel regularly to commercial job sites across the region; overnight travel may be required.
• Assist in troubleshooting and post-installation support when issues arise.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, or construction.
• Familiarity with rooftop units, curb adapters, and HVAC system configurations.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and site plans.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Basic proficiency with mobile tools and measurement devices (laser tapes, levels, etc.).
• Comfortable working in outdoor environments and at heights.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely use ladders and safety gear.
Preferred Skills:
• 1+ years of field service or technical HVAC experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or digital field measurement tools.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits:
• Competitive salary wage (commensurate with experience)
• 401(k) with company matching
• Health and dental insurance
• Paid time off and holiday pay
• Flexible spending account (FSA)
• Travel and mileage reimbursement
• Paid training opportunities and career development support
• Growth potential within the organization
Work Environment:
This is a field-based role with frequent travel to commercial rooftops and HVAC job sites. The Curb Adapter Field Technician operates independently while maintaining strong communication with internal departments. This role involves hands-on work, often in variable outdoor conditions, and requires the ability to manage schedules, prioritize safety, and deliver quality results with limited supervision.
If you are a dependable and technically skilled professional with a passion for hands-on field work in the HVAC industry, we’d love to hear from you! Apply today to join our team and help us deliver precise, high-quality solutions to our customers.
